Digital Boomers
The project Digital Boomers, financed by Banca Prealpi San Biagio within the scope of the call for tenders Regional pathways to gender equality 2024, aims to promote the use of technology as a tool for active citizenship, autonomy and social participation for women over 55.
Goals
- Promoting women's digital empowerment through inclusive training courses.
- Reducing the gender digital divide, supporting women in the use of technology for daily life, care and socializing.
- Raise awareness about sharing care and housework roles through experiential workshops open to men and women.
- Creating a replicable model with an innovative educational methodology.
Main activities:
- Digital training – Technology literacy programs in three municipalities in the Portogruaro area.
- Interactive workshops – Moments of dialogue and awareness-raising on gender equality and the use of digital technology.
- Creation of volunteer trainers – Women over 55 will be trained to continue the project over time.
- Final event and dissemination of results – An opportunity to share experiences and best practices.
The project began in September 2024 and will last one year. Project contribution: €5,250
